From his home recordings made in 1975 when he was 16 years old to the recordings made in 2022 for this broadcast, this 22-hour program will cover 47 years of Otomo Yoshihide's performances and recordings, in chronological order, with commentary by Otomo himself.
16歳だった1975年の自宅録音から、2022年今回の放送のためにに録音したものまで、大友良英の47年間の演奏・録音を年代順に、大友自身による解説付きで22時間にわたってお届けします。
Otomo Yoshihide was born in 1959 in Yokohama, Japan. As a teenager, he spent time in Fukushima.
Staying independent, he has consistently composed a wide range of music from improvisation to noise music and pop, and his musical talent has spread all over the world. He has a successful career as a film score composer and has produced more than 100 movie soundtracks.
IIn 2011, after the Great East Japan Earthquake, he started “PROJECT FUKUSHIMA!” along with people in various sectors, and he received a Minister of Education Award.
From 2014 to 2017 he served as director of Ensembles Asia. 2017 Otomo was appointed artistic director of the Sapporo International Art Festival.
He has been active beyond the music scene and this is the reason that he has attracted a great deal of attention.
大友良英 1959年横浜生まれ。 十代を福島市で過ごす。常に同時進行かつインディペンデントに即興演奏やノイズ的な作品からポップスに至るまで多種多様な音楽をつくり続け、その活動範囲は世界中におよぶ。映画音楽家としても数多くの映像作品の音楽を手がけ、その数は100作品を超える。
近年は「アンサンブルズ」の名のもと様々な人達とのコラボレーションを軸に展示する音楽作品や特殊形態のコンサートを手がけると同時に、障害のある子どもたちを含む一般参加型のプロジェクトにも力をいれている。2011年の東日本大震災を受け福島で様々な領域で活動をする人々とともにプロジェクトFUKUSHIMA!を立ち上げ現在も継続中。2012年、プロジェクトFUKUSHIMA !
の活動で芸術選奨文部科学大臣賞芸術振興部門を受賞、2013年にはテレビドラマ「あまちゃん」の音楽でレコード大賞作曲賞他数多くの賞を受賞。2014年よりアンサンブルズ・
アジアのディレクターとしてアジア各国の音楽家のネットワークづくりに奔走。2017年札幌国際芸術祭の芸術監督を務める。また福島を代表する夏祭り「わらじまつり」改革のディレクターも務めた。
